Tiret’s Subsidiary Company to Construct Samsung Refrigerator Assembling Factory

Azila Electronics, an auxiliary company to Tiret Corporate with Amhara National Democratic Movement (ANDM) is to construct Samsung refrigerator assembling factory in Debre Birhan, Amhara Regional State of Ethiopia with 135 million Birr cost, according to Addis Fortune.

The factory’s foundation is laid on 20,000 square meters of land in Kebase Kebele.

The factory will assemble five various models of Samsung Refrigerators after importing the bodies from Samsung Group Multinational Conglomerate Company. Samsung Group is also responsible for the deployment of technicians, Medhane Fesseha, Manager of Information Technology and Mobile Division at Samsung Electronics East Africa told Fortune.

When the factory commences operation, it will have a capacity of assembling 170 refrigerators per day. And there will be 20 to 30 dollar price difference based on the size with the imported refrigerators, said Seid Mohammed, Production and Technical Department Manager of Azila Electronics.

Among other companies that import Samsung branded electronics there are GARAD PLC, ethio-telecom and Tana Engineering PLC.
