Camel Milk Export Rewards Ethiopia with 300 Thousand USD

Meat and Milk Development Institute unveils Ethiopia has secured 300 thousand USD in revenue from the export of Camel Milk, according to Walta Information Center (WIC).

Ethiopia has started exporting Camel Milk to Punt-land, Somaliland and Djibouti this fiscal year, said Tadesse Guta, Deputy Director of the Institute in a press release he delivered today.

One Camel gives six liters of milk which costs 20 USD, Tadesse noted.

Ethiopia has 54 million Cattle, 10 million being milk cows. And the annual milk production is four billion liters, WIC learnt.
