The 1st phase of ICT village on 200 hectares of land was inaugurated, Ethiopian Herald reported.

The village is established in Bole Lemi area with 2 billion Birr of government’s budget.

Minister for Communication and IT, Dr. Debre-Tsion Gebre- Michael said the village is aimed at developing Ethiopia’s ICT sector, attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), facilitating technology transfer and creating job opportunities.

He furthered, since the village is near to Bole International Airport, local and foreign companies can do their businesses easily.

The village enables market link among local micro and small enterprises, big companies and research institutions, it was learnt.
