56 percent of Akaki-Goro and Akaki-Lebu external ring road project is completed, according to Ethiopian Roads Authority’s (ERA) Public Relations, Samson Wondimu.

The roads will be open for traffic in the coming Ethiopian budget year. The project includes construction of six bridges and four overpasses.

Akaki-Goro road is 14.5 km long where Akaki-Lebu is 13.6 km long. The six-lane roads will join Addis Ababa with Addis-Adama Expressway in two directions.

CCC, Chinese road contractor is undertaking the construction with USD 4.6 billion capital.
