The Ethiopian Roads Authority (ERA) announced it has constructed, upgraded and maintained 1,128 kilometers of road with 17 billion Birr cost during the last nine months of the Ethiopian fiscal year, Walta Information Center reported.

Samson Wondimu, ERA Communications Director said, altough the Authority palnned to construct 1,175.7 kilometers of road, the authority has managed to construct, upgrade and maintain 1,128.8 kilometers of road.

The Authoirity has also created 51,348 job opportunities for citizens through its road projects, he furthered.

Samson also indicated ERA is planning to build, upgrade and rehabilitate 14,787 kilometers of road in the five-year GTP period.
