Bless Agri Food Laboratory Service Plc is to offer short courses in four food-related fields after securing a license from the Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC), Addis Fortune reported.

Planned courses include Nutrition, Dietetics, Laboratory Analysis and Food Safety.

The courses duration which ranges from two weeks to one month are open to institutions and individuals, according to Belete Beyene, General Manager of Bless Agri Food.

“We have established the largest test kitchen in the country, which checks the contents of the food prepared, food point specifications and shelf life,” says Belete. The laboratory has a test for the existence of pesticide residue in any kind of grain items.

“One can establish a business with an initial capital of 5,000 Br after taking the training and grow immediately,” says Belete.

The training center spend Birr 32 million on classrooms, a library, ICT room and a test kitchen.
