Ethiopia: Public Buses to Serve Addis’ Residents

The new busses that are on the streets of Addis to provide transportation service to the public servants are going to start giving service for the city’s residents.

The announcement was made by the Public Servants Transportation Service CEO, Dereje Woldeyohannes.

The busses are 70 in number and they are distinctly painted sky blue.

According to Dereje the service is expected to be launched in two weeks time. Cashiers are receiving training in collaboration with Anbassa City Bus Service, he explained.

According to Fana Broadcasting Corporate (FBC), the buses are only going to carry 70 passengers at a time, which is the sitting capacity of the busses.

The buses are not going to stop their services for the public servants. It is only during work hours that they will transport residents of the capital city.

Priority is going to be given to areas with large number of passengers.
