During a ceremony held in Los Angeles, California, Ethiopian Airlines is awarded as the “Best Airline to Africa” by the US magazine, Premier Traveler.

Commenting on the development Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Tewolde Gebremariam, said: "We are honored that Premier Traveler Magazine’s readers in the U.S. have selected us as the best airline for travel to Africa. I wish to thank them for this vote of confidence, which once again reaffirms the quality of the service and product we offer. We currently offer the best connectivity options for the travelling public between Africa and the US, thanks to our daily flights from Washington D.C. using the ultra-modern B777s and B787s, and our extensive African network covering 49 destinations with daily and more flights.”

In addition to this, he noted the airline is planning to further cement its position as the airline of choice for travel between Africa and the U.S. by adding Los Angeles as our second point in the U.S. “Our flights connecting Addis Ababa, Dublin and Los Angeles will be operated with the B787s, which offers unmatched on-board comfort, and will be the only direct service connecting Africa with Ireland and the West Coast of the United States," he added.

Back in August Ethiopian was awarded as the Best Airline in Africa by Passenger Choice Awards. Three months later The African Airlines Association (AFRAA) named the Airline African Airline of the Year.
