The current Ethiopian budget year, according to Addis Ababa City Roads Authority (AACRA), will witness 504.4 kilometers cobblestone road construction in the capital city, Addis Ababa.

The plan for this year, as per the Authority’ Communication Expert, Wasihun Gebre, is to construct some 450 Kilometers of cobblestone in various parts of the capital while the remaining 54.4 kilometers is planned to be constructed in 23 various sites of condominium houses.

He furthered the plan is expected to create 60,000 job opportunities.

The construction which is due to be launch this month, is expected to consume more than 1.8 billion hand cut stones.

The Communication Expert explained, the cobblestone roads in addition to making life easier for pedestrians, they will add color to the city.

In related news, he noted some 100 Kilometer road will be renovated during the fiscal year.
