More than 200 Construction Companies Exhibiting in Ethiopia

A Construction Exhibition that will last for five days has been opened at Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa, where more than 200 firms from various nations are taking part of. The Exhibition was opened on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, under the theme; “A path to better future”.

The firms are from Turkey, Italy, United Arab Emirates, Kenya, Uganda and Zambia. On the other hand, local companies at the Exhibition are displaying their products and services.

Dr. Yoseph Biru, Director-General at the Construction Management Institute, commented the exhibition will enhance establishing market chain between local and foreign-owned companies and promote new products and services.

He furthered the exhibition is attracting more and more companies to Ethiopia.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, Ethiopian government is working to improve the construction sector by training, equipment and machinery, and financial supports.

Yoseph noted there activities being taken to lead the construction sector in a well organized manner using the Ethiopian Construction Management Institute. He furthered the government has given due attention on improve construction quality and speed in order to save time as well as time and improve customer satisfaction.

Solomon Gizaw, Manager at the Construction Constructors Association of Ethiopia, said the exhibition helps share local and foreign owned companies share best practices as well increase partnership.
