Ethiopia: Inflation Rate for August Rose to 7.2 Percent

Central Statistics Agency (CSA) disclosed Ethiopia’s inflation rate for the month August has rose to 7.2 percent, which is a 0.3 percent increase. This is said to be attributable to the increase in non-food items.

Even if there is a slight increase in the figure, Ethiopia has managed to keep the inflation rate to a single digit.

CSA’s report shows food items inflation fell to 5.2 percent from 5.7 percent while non food iems rose by 1.2 percent.
