New Zealand’s Dairy and Beef Solutions Ltd expressed its interest to invest in Ethiopia.

This was announced by Mr. Derek Fairweather, form the New Zealand company, after holding talks with State Minister Dawano Kedir on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the State Minister’s office. During the meeting they discussed about investing in Ethiopia.

Dawano explained the investment opportunities Ethiopia offers in the sector, the support and follow-up assistance the Ethiopian
government extends and the peace and stability of the nation.

He furthered the huge market the country possess and the cheap labour. In addition to this, the State Minister explained Ethiopia gives
priority to the agriculture sector in its Growth and Transformation Plan.

On his part Fairweather emphasized his company’s capacity and productivity and outlined what it could contribute to improve the sector.

He further noted his company is ready to invest in Ethiopia and extended his appreciation for the support he has received from the Ethiopian Government.
