Ethiopia: Ethiopian Joins Hand With Worldpay

Ethiopian AirlinesEthiopian Airlines has partnered up with Worldpay in order to make its business transaction more efficient and meet the demands of its global customer base.

Worldpay’s Ashna Bhawan workeds with Ethiopian for the implementation of a customized payment solution which integrates Ethiopian Airlines’ sales channels and Sabre Reservation System to process payments on behalf of the Airline.

This will in turn help the Airline’s customers to see prices in their local currency.

Ethiopian’s Chief Finance Officer, Nega Mekonnen, commented, “Ethiopian is pleased to partner with Worldpay to further enhance our potential to meet our 15 years strategic roadmap and cement our position as Africa’s premier airline. It also allows us to offer our customers a wider range of payment options to suit their preferences.”

Mike Parkinson, VP Airlines at Worldpay, on his part noted the payments landscape can be complex and that airlines need to establish a payment structure which delivers a commercial advantage. He furthered, “Worldpay’s expertise is an important factor in helping an innovative and expansionist carrier such as Ethiopian Airlines to meet its goals”.
