A one Billion Birr building for the two Ethiopian Federal Houses, House of Peoples’ Representatives (HPR) and House of Federation (HoF), has been planned to be constructed.

According to FBC, for the design of the construction the Houses have concluded agreement with Addis Engineering, S7 and a Dutch consultancy company.

The building’s construction is expected to be finished within three years.

Commenting on the matter, speakers of the Houses, Abdula Gemeda speaker of HPR and Ato Kassa Teklebrhan speaker of HoF, said, the building’s design is made in a way it reflects cultures of nations, nationalities and peoples of Ethiopia and achievements of the current generation.

The building is said to be constructed on 80,000 Hectares and include library, museum and different offices. According to FBC, the building is going to be constructed in front of the current parliament.
