Ethiopia’s Inflation Slows Down in June

Ethiopia’s Central Statistics Agency (CSA) revealed the nation’s inflation rate fell from 8.7 to 8.5 percent in the year.This is attributed to the slowing rise in food prices.

According to CSA’s report inflation of food price slowed to 6.2 percent in the year to June from 6.3 percent in May, which is attributable to cereal prices.

On the other hand, inflation for non food items also dropped to 11 percent from 11.5 percent from June to May.
