United Arab Emirates (UAE) companies were called by President Mulatu Teshome to utilize the investment opportunity Ethiopia offers.

According to a press release by the Office of the President, Mulatu had had talks with delegates of a UAE company, Majid Al Futtaim, on Wednesday, July 2, 2014. The delegation was led by the vice president Younis Al- Mulla.

The President explained to the delegates business and investment opportunities Ethiopia offers to investors. He further explained the benefits the investors will ensure if they chose to invest in Ethiopia.

Al- Mulla on his part commented his company is looking forward to invest in the areas of horticulture development and hotel.

Majid Al Futtaim is also interested to open shopping malls in Ethiopia which it hopes will enhance the nation create an international market feature.

Majid Al Futtaim is said to operate in 38 countries across the world in shopping malls, hotels and in the entertainment sector.
