Ethiopian Airlines announced it took delivery of its 8th Boeing 787 Dreamliner on Thursday, June 26, 2014.

Ethiopian received its first Boeing 787 in August 2012 after Japan, which made it the second owner of the aircraft. Now it expects two more Boeing 787s the before the end of 2014.

Dreamliner is said to offer unparalleled on board comfort along with greatly reduced noise, higher ceilings, biggest windows in the sky, higher humidity and unique lighting.

Commenting on the aircraft, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Tewolde Gebremariam, said the 787 is truly without peers in its category both in passenger comfort and operational excellence. He added his airline will continue to introduce latest technology aircrafts to meet his customers’ high expectations.

Ethiopian currently operates using 68 ultra modern aircrafts including Boeing 777s, Boeing 787s and Boeing 737-800s with sky interior.
