Ethiopian to Offer Four Daily Services to Nairobi

Ethiopian Airlines announced it will start to fly four times a day to Nairobi starting from June 1, 2014. Ethiopian will service the route with the Airlines’ latest feet, the B737-800 New Generation with Sky Interior.

Tewolde Gebremariam, the Airlines’ CEO, said "We are very pleased to increase our flights to Nairobi from twice daily to four times a day. Nairobi holds a special historical significance for Ethiopian. We have been flying to the city since 1947, almost since the establishment of the airline. Today, Ethiopia and Kenya are registering fast economic growth and are strengthening their economic cooperation with increased trade ties and infrastructure connections. Ethiopian is playing its part in enabling greater investment, trade and business ties between the two countries by availing critically essential air connectivity".

Ethiopian currently has 81 destinations across five continents. It makes more than 200 daily flights using. 

The Airlines is implementing a 15 years strategic plan aiming to make Ethiopian a leading aviation group in Africa with seven business centers; Ethiopian Domestic and Regional Airline; Ethiopian International Passenger Airline; Ethiopian Cargo; Ethiopian MRO; Ethiopian Aviation Academy; Ethiopian In-flight Catering Services; and Ethiopian Ground Service.
