The Ethiopian Ministry of Education said it has given due attention to technology transfer and producing skilled human power to realize the renaissance of the country, Ethiopian News Agency reported.

Speaking in a national technical and vocational education and training (TVET) conference held in Dire Dawa Saturday, Wondwesen Kifilu, Technical and Vocational Cluster State Minister said training youth in TVET is a priority for the remaining two years of the GTP period.

He urged the public to send youth who failed to pass the secondary school leaving exams to TVET institutes to receive technical and vocational training.

Wondwesen said the Ministry has been providing support for TVET institutes to increase their capacity and achieve their goal.
