Invitation to Bid
1. The Ethiopian Airports Enterprise invites sealed bids from all registered contractors of Category BC-4 or GC-4 Contractors and above for constructing of watch tower buildings and fence in Semera Airport.
Eligible bidders should fulfill the following requirements.
- Trade license and construction service certificates valid for 2002 Ethiopian Calendar years ,
- Registration certificate from Ministry of Works and Urban Development'
- VAT registration certificate and to submit wax-sealed bids for providing the
necessary labor, material equipment and any other necessary requirements for the execution and completion of the works.
- Tax clearance certificate

3. Each prospective bidder proposing to bid for this project must be eligible fulfilling the requirements of the particular Instruction of the project.
4.A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by any interested eligible bidder on the submission of a written application to the above address and payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 700 (Seven Hundred
Birr). All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of Birr 50,000 (Fifty Thousand Birr only) in the form of Bank Guarantee, or a Certified Payment Order (CPO) at the bidders option.
The bid along with the bid security must be delivered to the Logistics and Procurement Administration Service, Ethiopian Airports Enterprise, Tel. 251 11 665 05 82, P.O. 'Box 90652, Fax +251 11 665 05 86 on or before October 7,2010 at 10:00 am. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.
5 . Bids_will be opened in the presence of bidders or bidders representative who chose to attend at the Ethiopian Airports Enterprise Hall on October 7, 2010 at 10:30 am.
6.The construction of the work shall be completed within 240 calendar days from commencement of works. !
7. All bids must include 15% VAT (Value Added Tax) on the summary of price quotation.
8. Bidders are' instructed to fill, sign and seal all the forms of the bid documents. Failure to fulfill this instruction may result in automatic rejection.
9.The employer reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, to advertise for new bids or to proceed and do the work otherwise as may be for its best interest.
