Unity Parking Lot which has a capacity of accommodating a total of 1,020 vehicles at a time, was inaugurated on Monday by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. The parking lot is situated on 1.2 hectares of land and connected with Unity Park through an underground tunnel which is 105 meters long.
Prime Minister Haile Mariam Desalegn laid the cornerstone for a railway that links two states of Ethiopia, Tigray and Amhara. The railway will connect Woldia – Hara Gebeya – Mekele.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed today discussed with senior executives of Volkswagen (VW). Fitsum Arega, Chief of Staff at the Prime Minister’s Office, said the Premier assured the German automaker that the government would do everything to help the company invest in Ethiopia.
In September, the company announced that it was considering building a component assembly plant in Ethiopia.

Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn opened Africa Hotel Investment Forum 2014 on Tuesday, September 30, 2014. The Forum is said to have attracted a global audience from the hotel and tourism industry.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed visited the Integrated Agro Industrial Park which is located in Central Eastern Oromia, Bulbula area and which is one of the four projects commissioned by the government. The Premier also visited the rural transformation center which is also being constructed in Shashemene, Oromia.
