The Ethiopian Railway Corporation said, 43 per cent of the construction of the Addis Ababa Light Railway project has been completed.

Currently Addis Ababa's road coverage stands at 15 per cent, according to  figures from the City Administration. The Light Railway is expected to come to be fully completed by the end of 2014.

The Addis Ababa City Administration is set to invest 3.6 billion Ethiopian birr to continue to increase the road coverage of the city. The City Administration is targeting to expand the city's road coverage by 5 percent in two years time.
