Description of Requirements

United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia hereby seeks to pre-qualify a suitable Contractor capable of providing Manpower for Porterage, Clerical and Messenger Services to the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. The porterage, clerical and messenger Services will incorporate unloading incoming consignment on routine basis, loading of an outward shipments, rearranging bulk and stock of items, operating powered and manual handling machines, moving office furniture or equipment, supplies from one location to another during conferences, meetings etc., providing floor to floor deliveries of supplies, furniture and equipment, collecting and assembling furniture, equipment and supplies, identifying and handing over equipment and furniture, supplies to eligible entity, performing any other porterage, clerical and messenger Services.

Only pre-qualified firms may be invited to the tender by a “Request for Proposal” (RFP) at a later stage.  This tender envisages selection of a single firm to undertake the Contract. Please note that the UNECA is precluded from entering into contract with a firm that is not fully registered with UNECA.
