INVITATION TO BID

OPEN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING

Tender No. FP/OT/19/SC/2014/15

1. The Government of the Republic of Poland shall extend a credit in the amount not exceeding USD 50,000,000.00 (USD Dollars Fifty Million), henceforth called "the Credit", to the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia for the financing of projects in the area of modernization of the economy and the public sector as well as development of rural areas and others agreed between Contracting Parties.
The Credit shall be used to finance 100% (One Hundred Percent) of the value of the contract for deliveries of goods and services from the Republic of Poland to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. 

2. Sugar Corporation invites wax-sealed bids from eligible and qualified Manufacturing Companies (Bidders) from the Republic of Poland for the Supply and Delivery of the following Cane Transportation Machinery
- Lot - 1: CANE HAULAGE TRACTOR 
- Lot - 2: TENDEM CANE HAULAGE TRAILEPS 
- Lot - 3: TRUCK TRACTOR WITH CANE DUMP SEMI TRAILER 
- Lot - 4: CANE GRAB LOADER 
All the Items shall be delivered on FOB Port of Loading or CFR Djibouti Sea Port basis. 

3. Interested eligible Bidders are invited to participate in this tender directly or through their duly represented local agents. 
In case of represented by the local agent, the agent shall furnish letter of representation from the principal and valid Trade License, TIN, VAT and Current Tax Clearance, and  Suppliers' Registration Certificates,  

4. A complete set of bidding document in English can be purchased by interested bidders during office hours from the address mentioned below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Eth. Birr 500.00 (Birr Five Hundred) in cash.

5. Wax-sealed bid marked as per the instructions given to the bidders in the tender document and addressed to-the above address must be received by the BUYER at or before 2:00pm July 24, 2015. The document will be received through bid box or hand delivered. No liability will be accepted by the buyer for loss or late delivery.

6. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend on the date and address specified above at 2:00pm.

7. All bids must be accompanied by bid security: Birr 500,000.00 (Birr Five Hundred Thousand) or USD 25,000.00 (US Dollars Twenty Five Thousand) for each of the four Lots. The bid security shall be in original form of Unconditional Bank Guarantee or CPO from Commercial Bank in Ethiopia. The Bid Security shall be valid for at least One Hundred Twenty (120) days beyond the Bid submission deadline. The bid shall remain valid for Ninety (90) days after the bid submission deadline.

8. Sugar Corporation reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
