Background
The Energising Development (EnDev) Partnership is a joint impact-oriented global programme facilitating self-sustaining markets for modern energy solutions, financed by various donors. EnDev Ethiopia is working on upgrading of 30 watermill sites into micro hydropower plants (MHPPs) producing electricity for off grid rural communities. This announcement is to invite qualified Service providers to submit their expression of interest in the field of “Micro Hydropower Plants development “in three regions (Amhara, Oromia and SNNPR regions).
GIZ EnDev Ethiopia is interested to identify potential service provider’s consultants, construction companies, and manufacturers, having proven experience in Micro Hydropower development, to submit their credentials for tasks of their interest and competence in the field of off-grid micro hydropower development as stated bellow:
- Feasibility study of preselected MHP sites
- Civil construction work
- Turbine and metal components manufacturing
- Electromechanical installation works
- Low Voltage distribution line Installation
Submittal of documents and credentials
Interested service providers shall submit their business profile with all the necessary reference documentations showing their areas of expertise and experience (documentation, references for similar services, experience in comparable assignments, availability of qualified staff, etc.) as per the format provided at: http://www.2merkato.com/images/downloads/EnDevETMHPEOI20170516.pdf
