Topic: UNICEF Ethiopia wishes to request eligible bidders to participate in a Request for Proposals aimed -to establish a Long Term Arrangement (for 12 +12 months) for provision of Audio-visual production services.

Background:

In support of the Ethiopian Government’s Second Growth and Transformation Plan, and as part of the United Nations Delivering as One approach, UNICEF works on the following four key areas ; Disaster Risk Management, Social Protection and Climate-Resilient Green Economy; Basic Social Services; Governance, Participation and Capacity Development; and Equality and Empowerment. UNICEF Ethiopia’s programmes include areas such as health, nutrition, WASH, Education, Child Protection, Integrated early childhood development (IECD), Adolescents, Urban programming and Resilience.

UNICEF Ethiopia also works to place the rights and well-being of children, especially the most disadvantaged, at the heart of social, political and economic agendas, working multi-sectoral, with partners, the Government, private sector, communities and individuals to support changes in public policy, fuel social engagement and increase private and public resources for children. For this purpose, UNICEF Ethiopia regularly uses communication materials to reach and influence specific audiences, keeping child rights and equity at the forefront of the development agenda, government policy, and public advocacy, awareness and mobilization. These include production of videos of various lengths and translation/transcription of communication related audio visual products into/from the major Ethiopian languages.

Purpose:

To provide communication production services

Expected Background and Experience:

• Audio-visual Production Company with over five years of experience working with international organizations/media-with ability to deliver materials according to the specified quality and technical requirements.

Audio visual companies must provide UNICEF with a Certificate of Incorporation/documentation and license proving that they are a registered company or institution with permission of filming with in Ethiopia.

Starting on Monday, 15 -Aug-2016. Proposals are to be submitted to UNICEF Ethiopia Office, Addis Ababa on or before 10:00 am (East African Time) 31-Aug- 2016(Wednesday). Please quote the RFP nr. 9126961 in all your correspondences. Due to the nature of the bid, there will be no bid public opening for this offer.
