Invitation For Bid

The Center for Victims of Torture (CVT) Addis Ababa office desires to contract cleaning and housekeeping services. All services shall be performed in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications in the bid documents.

CVT Ethiopia invites eligible bidders to tender for:

Provision of cleaning and housekeeping services

• Interested eligible bidders should collect bid documents and details of specification from CVT Ethiopia’s Addis Ababa office between May 1 and 10, 2024 between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm and between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
• Eligible bidders should come with a copy of their credentials for taking bid documents.

Tender Required information - Documents/information that MUST be provided

• Bidders should be licensed to do such jobs in Ethiopia as specified in the tender and shall furnish copies of valid Business licenses for the year 2015/16 E.C, TOT/VAT Certificate declarations, and TIN Certificate.
• Bidders must have a representative office in Addis Ababa.
  Quotation must include a full description of items, specification, unit, quantity, and unit cost per person including administration and other costs (in ETB specify if the price is before /after VAT or TOT), remarks if any, date, stamp, and signature of a responsible representative.
• Bidders must attach governing rules and foundation documents for the agency.
• Validity of the offer must be a minimum of 90 days
• Bidders should present all original certifications during bid document collection.

MANNER OF BID SUBMISSION AND OPENING

• Each bid must be written in English and must be submitted in a wax-sealed envelope marked: Separate envelope for Financial and technical proposals labeled “CONFIDENTIAL: FULL BID FOR CLEANING AND HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE”

• The deadline for Bid submission is on May 14, 2024, not later than 4:00 pm at CVT Addis Ababa Office.
• Bids will be officially opened on May 15, 2024, at 9:00 am at CVT Addis Ababa Office by the Bid Committee of CVT. All Bidders are invited to attend the opening of the Bids, though their absence will not disqualify the Bids being opened or selected.
• Following the bid opening, assessment/evaluation and previous performance verification will be carried out by the CVT Procurement committee. CVT Ethiopia reserves the right to select the bidder(s) most suitable. This will not be based on “A Least Price” alone. Quality, responsiveness, financial capacity, technical capacity, sound personnel policies and practices, references, and reputation with CVT will be considered together.
• Award resulting from this IFB will be a firm-fixed-price contract for a term of a maximum of 10 months, with renewal options.
• Bidders who fail to avail the required documents/information will be rejected from the bid process.
• The present tender request is not an order and does not engage CVT in any legal ground or financial commitment.
• CVT - Ethiopia reserves the right to reject all or part of the tender. CVT – Ethiopia reserves the right to select more than one supplier, select only part of a candidate’s bid; or select none.
