Optic Fiber Cable Manufacturing Plant to Commence Production

Optic fiber cable manufacturing plant  built at a cost of 2.7 billion Ethiopian birr is scheduled to go operational in September 2013, Ethiopia Radio and Television Agency reported.

The plant will produce 24 thousand km optic fiber cable annually, when it becomes fully operational. Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn visited the cable factory and  textile manufacturing industries in Alemgena and Sebeta towns on Sunday 14, July 2013.

During his visit, Hailemariam called upon manufacturing sector investors to expand their investment as well as invite other foreign investors in the manufacturing sector.

The Premier assured the investor, the government will provide the necessary support they need.
