The Ethiopian Ministry of Finance, in collaboration with the Ethiopian Sugar Corporation, has issued an invitation of sealed responses to its Request for Information (RFI), aimed at "completing the necessary pre-privatization activities" of 13 sugar projects. Some of the mentioned projects are fully completed and operational, while the rest are partially completed.

The RFI has been published "to facilitate information gathering from interested parties that [have] previously shown interest to acquire Sugar Corporation properties," as well as new prospective buyers, the Ministry said.

Via the RFI, the Ministry hopes to identify interested potential investors along with their intended approach, and which projects the investors are interested in.

Interested parties can respond to the request no later than May 24, 2019.
