Ethiopia announced that it would welcome more Vietnamese investors in the trade and manufacturing sectors. It said it would offer attractive incentive packages for the Vietnamese companies and entrepreneurs especially for those who would engage in priority sectors. Vietnamese business delegation which is composed of 50 businessmen discussed with Ethiopian officials about potential investment areas and opportunities in Ethiopia.

The Vietnam’s Minister of Planning and Industry said Ethiopia had a strategic location for global market adding that Ethiopia would be Vietnamese investors’ trade and manufacturing destination. Ethiopian Foreign Affairs Minister Professor Afework Kassu said, “Ethiopia has made a meaningful stride in becoming an attractive place to do business in the African continent with expanding infrastructure such as industrial parks, railway, energy, and road networks.”
