Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) was awarded as the “best investment promotion agency in East Africa” during Annual Investment Forum (AIM) held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). It was Eyerusalem Amdemariam, Consul General of Ethiopia in the UAE that received the award on behalf of the Commission.

The event is said to award the most dynamic and proactive investment promotion agencies from different ends of the world.

During the event, the Commission’s success in attracting sizable investment into industrial parks, that are said to have a great potential for technology and skills transfer as well as sustainability and local linkages, was lauded.

In addition to EIC, other investment offices that acquired awards were from Belgium, India, Serbia, Egypt, Ghana, Rwanda, and Swaziland.
