Ethiopia Encouraged Saudi’s to Invest in Agriculture Sector

After meeting with Saudi Arabian Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley, Ethiopia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Workneh Gebeyehu (PhD) called on Saudi investors to be more engaged in Ethiopia’s agriculture sector.

The Minister also vowed that the Ethiopian government will undertake all necessary measures to encourage Saudi-investors and solve any inconvenience with no delay.

According to the Second Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP-II), agriculture is the main drive of the economy as it is stimulant for the country’s growing industrial demand.

Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley on his part explained his Government's readiness to further enhance endeavors to boost the bilateral ties to a new height, particularly in the agricultural investment.

The fifth Ethiopia-Saudi Arabia annual joint Ministerial Commission meeting started on Monday, April 16, 2018 in Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa.
