Ethiopia and Malta Signed Double Taxation Avoidance Treaty

Ethiopia signed double taxation avoidance treaty with Malta. The treaty was signed during a business seminar held in Malta’s capital, Valletta.

The business seminar was aimed to brief investors on the investment opportunity in Ethiopia. Furthermore, the event is said to be expected to facilitate trade between the Ethiopia and Malta.

The seminar was jointly organized by the Ethiopian Embassy in Rome, Italy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malta.

The Ethiopian delegation team that participated in the seminar was led by Aklilu Hailemichael (PhD), State Minister for Foreign Affairs. It held discussions with Carmelo Abela, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Malta. The discussion was mainly on ways to strengthen business and economic ties between the 2 countries.
