Ethiopia is said to be top consumer Dangote’s cement from January to June 2017. Unaudited report of Dangote Group shows that the company sold 1.1 million metric tons in Ethiopia. Next on the list is Senegal with a consumption of 0.6 metric tons of cement.

The Group managed to sell 0.6 million, 0.5 million, 0.4 million and 0.3 million metric tons of cement in Cameroon, Ghana, Tanzania, and Zambia, respectively.

According to the Group’s CEO, the corporation’s share in the African market is growing and the corporation intends to expand its projects across the continent.

The Group has cement manufacturing plants in Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Cameroon, Zambia, and Tanzania.

The report by the group also explained that the company’s sales volume in Africa has increased by 12.6 percent and reached 4.7 million metric tons.
