Ethiopia: Addis to Have New Mall

New business center dubbed Hidase Grand Mall is going to be built in Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa, at a cost of 3 billion Birr. The construction is scheduled to be completed in 3 years time.

According to the manager of the project, Dereje Mekonnen, the mall is going to have 5,000 shops, 2 four-star hotels, bank and insurances offices, cafeterias, restaurants, apartments and parking lot. The parking lot could accommodate 8,000 cars at the same time, he noted.

When the mall goes operational, it is expected to create job opportunities for more than 35,000 people.
