Air Tanzania disclosed it sent its 28 pilots to Ethiopia for them to acquire additional training. It will be Ethiopian Airlines that will give them the training.

Speaking on the development Ladislaus Matindi, CEO of Air Tanzania, said his Airline preferred Ethiopian based on a calculation it made which showed airlines in United Kingdom and Canada cost 500 USD more per hour.

In addition to this, Ethiopian had its own training and maintenance centers, the CEO added.

The pilots to be sent to Ethiopia are going to be the largest number Tanzania has ever sent for training.
