Industry Parks Development Corporation of Southern Nation Nationalities and Peoples’ State, disclosed it will build an agro-processing industrial park in Yirgalem City.

According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Corporation, Biru Wolde, the construction of the park will commence next month and it will be concluded in 2 – 3 years’ time. When the park went operational, it would process coffee, avocado and dairy products whose end products would target the export market, he added.

The construction of the park was estimated to consume 2.6 billion Birr, Biru added.

In addition to the agro-processing park in Yirgalem, 6 related centers would be built in Sidamo and Gedio Zones, each with 3 parks, the CEO explained.
