Ethiopia’s Ministry of Science and Technology disclosed it has finalized preparations to construct African Science and Technology Hub in the capital. According to the Public Relation Director at the Ministry, Wondwosen Andualem, design works have been completed. The hub would be equipped with various units to maintain fast growth in the science and technology sector of Ethiopia, he explained.

The Hub would also have a science and technology museum to display the historical background of architectural, arts of science and technology and different science and technology works in Ethiopia, Wondwosen added.

According to the Director, a total of 30,000 square meters of land was allotted for the construction of different complexes that will enable scientific researches and creative works. The construction would commence next year and it is scheduled to be fully completed in 5 years time, he noted.

The Hub would also have hi-tech laboratories that are expected to facilitate research and creative works, Wondwosen explained.
