Ethiopia: Mulatu Urged Ethiopian and Turkish to Collaborate

Ethiopia’s President, Mulatu Teshome, met and held discussions with Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Turkish Airline, Temel Kotil. During the discussion the President noted the airlines of Ethiopia and Turkey should work together in order to strengthen the economic bondage of the 2 nations.

In their meeting the 2 have also discussed on ways the 2 airlines can collaborate to further strengthen the investment ties Ethiopia and Turkey have. They have also discussed on the possibility of launching daily flights to Turkey.

Mulatu explained cooperation between Ethiopian Airlines and Turkish Airline would help control the air transport market to different countries and also support the economic ties of the countries.

Kotil on his part said cooperation between Turkish and Ethiopian would be of mutual benefit. It would help the 2 airliners to share experiences and enrich their capacities, he added.

Full-fledged cooperation will result in increasing weekly flights to 7 from 3, the CEO explained. The service would contribute to the enhancement of the investment flow between the 2 countries, he added.
