Arab Contractors to Inaugurate First Road Project in Ethiopia

Egypt’s Arab Contractors Company is to inaugurate its first project in Ethiopia soon, said Mohamed Edriss, Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs on October 5, 2015.

The project is part of two road projects in Ethiopia costing USD 110 million. The amount was extended by the African Development Bank, according to Edriss.

The two phases of the international road joins Addis Ababa with Nairobi as part of the continental project of establishing an international road between Cairo and Cape Town, noted Edriss.

Arab Contractors Company have completed the 52 km of the first phase of the project and had delivered the road and it is now open for traffic, yet road signs and other road planning work are left, stated Edriss.
