Ethiopia intends to export value added meat products in ten years to come, Fana Broadcasting Corporate (FBC) reported.

Industry Minister Dr. Mebratu Meles at the consultative forum on meat industry said Ethiopia needs to secure additional income from its livestock resource.

He also added Ethiopia from the export of value added products could generate foreign exchange and create job opportunities.

Stakeholders are conducting an ongoing discussion on Ethiopia’s meat industry 10 year strategic plan.
