Ethiopian, USTDA Sign Training Grant Agreement

EALEthiopian Airlines has concluded an agreement with U.S Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) in Addis Ababa for the training of its leaders and staff members, Ethiopian Airlines reported.

USTDA is going to avail the money for a multi-year leadership development program for more than 400 Ethiopian Airlines staff, along with courses in the U.S.

U.S Congressional Members delegation who joined President Obama on his visit to Ethiopia has attended the signing ceremony.

The training aims to increase skill and capacity of Ethiopian and its staff in support of Vision 2025- the Airline’s long-term business plan to become the leading aviation group in Africa.

USTDA will take part in the development of customized curricula to make sure the sustainability of the program for future generations of aviation leaders in Ethiopia.

The training is being provided as part of a whole-of-U.S-government advocacy campaign in support of the Boeing Company’s provision of up to 45 737 MAX airplanes.
