The Addis Ababa City Administration Roads Authority concluded road agreements with contractors in the Authority’s premise on May 22, 2015, according to the Ethiopian Herald.

Engineer Fikadu Haile, Authority Manager said the agreement is for asphalt, cobble stone and road indicator construction projects and the construction is set to begin in the coming new year.

Shiromeda – Hamerenoh Kidanemihiret Church asphalt road has been given to Yemane Girmay Construction with 20 meter width and 2.1 km length. Abo Square-Bisrate Gebriel Church asphalt road has also been handed to IFH Engineering to be constructed with 30 meter width and 1.4 km length.

Enyi Construction PLC has undertaken to construct Second Police Station – Kidiste Mariam – Menelik Hospital asphalt road project which has 19 meter width and 1.73 km length.

The Authority also contracted to undertake asphalt, cobble and parking roads inside African Economic Commission (ECA) compound. In addition, UE Industrial PLC is to construct road indicators in various parts of the Addis Ababa.

The total value of the projects amounts to Birr 521,774,034.29, Engineer Fikadu said.
