70,000 condominiums built in the Ethiopian capital are going to be hand over in two months time. The announcement was made by the Minister for Urban Development, Housing and Construction, Mekuria Haile.

The houses have basic infrastructure including road, telephone, electricity and more. In addition to this the condo buildings also have a shopping an sports centers.

According to the Ministry, inhabitants that were previously registered will be given priority when the lots are drawn.

In related news , the Ministry aimed to construct 170,000 condos but it exceeded this plan with over 10,000 and constructed more than 180,000 condominiums. It is also said the construction created job opportunities for 6 million jobs.

Mekurai also added there will be more than 65,000 additional houses that will be built in Ethiopia’s capita city, Addis Ababa, on 800,000 hectares of land.
