Ethiopia: Break Rubber Factory to Start Production in Five Months

Ethiopia’s first break rubber factory, Hibret Manufacturing and Machinery Fabrication, which cost 350 Million Birr is going to start production in five months time.

The factory is situated at Afar state and this, according to Fana Broadcasting Corporation (FBC), is a proof for the nation’s wealth is being distributed in a just manner. In addition to this, the Corporation noted, the factory's location is an indication that the country is working to create job for several people in the State and it is having ease of access to raw materials in the region.

Upon starting production, Hibret is expected to play a vital role in saving Ethiopia’s hard currency.

The break rubber factory is one of its kind in the Easter Africa and it has the capacity to produce 3.2 Million units.

According to FBC, this figure is good enough to meet the local demand and export to neighboring countries.
