Ethiopia to Host Fifth African Accreditation General Assembly

Ethiopia is going to host the fifth African Accreditation General Assembly, the Ethiopian National Accreditation Office disclosed.

According to Negussie Kibru, Communications and Public relations Head at the Office, preparations are finalized to host the five days meeting which is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 22, 2014.

Ethiopia was selected to host the event during the Fourth General Assembly that took place in Kenya. The reasons were durable peace and rapid economic growth the nation has been recording.

The Head furthered, other reasons that entitled Ethiopia to be the host were facts such as the nation is the seat of the African Union and different international as well as continental conferences are held here.

Hosting the meeting would also help promote the image of the country and show the attention given to accreditation service in Ethiopia, he added.

Negussie also pointed out, experts at the Office will get international exposure and the public could get better information

The meeting is expected to be attended by more than 50 guests, including ones that are from Southern African Development Community and Arabic Accreditation Corporation.
