Ethiopian Launches Flights to Milan

Ethiopian Airlines launched on Saturday, 2 July 2011, flight services to Milan, the Italian city of entertainment and fashion. Ethiopian said that the new service would offer clients easy and convenient access to Italy five times a week on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. 

The launching of the new flight services to Milan Ethiopian Airlines's 63rd international destination. And it is the airlines's second destination destination in Italy, next to Rome and seventh in Europe. 

The newly launched flights to Milan will create new market opportunities for the national carrier and give better access and service to travellers to northern Italy who wish to venture into Africa, said Gobena Mikael, senior vice president Global Sales and Chief Commercial Officer of Ethiopian Airlines.

Ethiopian Airlines says that it will use the new route to serve business, leisure and religious travellers from Milan and northern Italy to Africa, the Middle East, and the Far East and vice versa threough its strategic hub at the Addis Ababa International Airport.
