PATH is a not for-profit organization dedicated to improving the health and nutritional- status of vulnerable groups in Ethiopia.
PATH works as a partner on the IntraHealth-led Community Prevention of Mother- To-Child Transmission (CPMTCT) project by giving technical assistance on optimal infant and young child feeding and nutrition for HIV.exposed children under two years of age.
The Community PMTCT project is a five-year project funded by USAID that aims to improve uptake MNCHJPMTCTservices through four major objectives:
1. Capacity building to regional health bureaus, zonal and Woreda health offices and community based organizations;
2.Increase access to MNCHIPMTCT services through providing facility and community service and improving bi-directional referral linkage
3. Increase demand for MNCHJPMTCTservices; and
4. Improve quality of community and facility based MNCHJPMTCT
services.
To achieve ese objectives the project team will assist the GOE and its counterparts to develop, test and roll out a sustainable integrated community MNCHIPMTCT model. IntraHealth International is the lead organization for
this project and Pathfinder International, Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PAlH) and the International Orthodox. Christian Charities (IOCC) are partners in implementing the project. To improve infant and young child feeding and nutrition ofHIV-exposed children under two years of age, PATH will develop a video for HIV-positive mothers attending health services and participating in mother support groups (MSGs) in Amharic. PATH is soliciting bids from potential associations or firms that have the capability to produce videos of this kind based on direction from the PATH Nutrition Advisor, seconded to the CPMTCT project and other CPMTCT project staff.
PATH invites potential video and drama production firms to submit technical & financial proposals in order to prepare an infant and young child feeding and nutrition (IYCFIN) video in Amharic . The video is intended to be staged in health
centers and MSG showing actors who will pretend to be HIV-positive mothers - who will have IYCFIN advice to give or problems to be solved.
Those firms bidding on this work that have experience with all phases of production (i.e., script writing, hiring actors, producing the drama, filming, editing, etc by themselves will have priority. Thus, the bidders are expected to
consider the following items:
- Drama - not more than 45 minutes long (by Script & videolDVD)
- Music - background to the drama (by Script & in the fonn of a Video/DVD)
PATH has prepared a SOW for the setup of the technical proposal. The bidders can collect the SOW from IntraHealth/CPMTCT office in Addis Ababa.
Any firm interested in applying for this can submit their proposal as per the SOW. The bidders should bring the sealed document which includes their full address, testimonial certificate, copies of previous videos produced if any,
CVs of employees supporting the work, and renewed license and certificate of registration of the firm, in person or by mail to: IntraHealth/CPMTCT office in Addis Ababa within ten days of this notice.
