Filimon Import and Export International (FIE International) is a pioneering importer and exporter company in Ethiopia engaged in the export of beans and oilseeds such as chickpeas, peanuts, green mung beans, sesame seeds, kidney beans, lentils, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, vegetables and spices. We also import food processing lines, construction raw material production machinery, full bakery lines, agricultural machinery, milling and storage systems, metal and wood work engineering machinery, argo processing machinery, sanitary materials production machinery, chicken incubators, broilers and slaughtering machinery, coffee roasting, grinding and packaging, confectionery machinery, and extrusion lines. Furthermore, we enhance the importing sector by importing only capital goods and plant machinery. Visa-vis the export sector will shift from primary goods exporting to further processed goods and products.

Main area of activity: FIE International's main focus is the export business but its secondary goal is to enhance the export market by further increasing value and process to the primary product. In order to come up with a pioneering result, we import machinery and plants which can be best feted in agro-processing, construction, and mining industries.

EXPORT ITEMS:

Ethiopian domestic consumption and import is much higher than the export goods and earnings. This unhealthy relationship to import/ export ratio hinders growth and development in the country. Therefore, FIE International comes up with two solutions to facilitate enhancing the problem. One of the solutions practiced by our company is having a verity of exportable products. The second solution is importing only manufacturing machineries which can process primary goods to semi-processed and finished products. And these products will finally be exported in value added better price in the world market.

BEANS & OIL SEEDS

1. CHICKPEAS

FIE International offers whole and Split premium quality of Desi and Kabuli type chickpeas sourced from Southern  and  Amhara regions. Chickpeas are great source of fibrer, protein and other nutrients and are widely used in Salads, hummus, gram flour etc.

• Desi chickpeas are a smaller type, angular seeds with yellow to brown coats 
• Kabuli chickpeas are a larger type, rounded with cream colour coats.

2. PEANUTS

FIE International offers high quality peanuts. We source our peanuts with great care. We offer:

• Shelled peanut

Peanuts are an excellent source of biotin.
They are also a very good source of copper as well as a good source of manganese, niacin, molybdenum, folate, vitamin E, phosphorus, vitamin B1 and protein. We offer whole peanuts, shelled peanuts and blanched of bold and java peanuts from Harar and Benishangul regional state.

3. GREEN MUNG BEANS

FIE International offers high quality green mung beans from Gambella regional state. We source our green mung beans with great care. Green mung beans are a high source of protein, fiber, antioxidants and phytonutrients

4. SESAME SEEDS

FIE International offers sesame seeds sourced with great care from our suppliers Humera, Wellega and Metema. Sesame seeds are an excellent source of copper, a very good source of manganese,
and a good source of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, zinc, molybdenum, vitamin B1, selenium and dietary fber.

FIE International offers coriander seeds sourced with great care from our suppliers worldwide. Coriander seeds contain an unusual array of phytonutrients. They are a very good source of dietary fiber and a good source of copper, manganese, iron, magnesium and calcium.

1. Garlic: Garlic is among the highly demanded herb in the world. And the Ethiopian garlic pungency rate is high so the high demand for the item is unconquerable. But due to low supplies from the farmers and high domestic demand for the product is experienced we couldn’t manage to export as per the international demand of the product.
2. Ginger: Different types of ginger products are exported from our side. These are ginger chips, ginger powder and fresh ginger root. We mainly export to Europe and China.
3. Chilly Pepper: Chilly pepper is used both for industrial use and personal consumption. Natural and food ink is mainly manufactured from red chilly. And sometimes it is used in the pigment industry and some chemicals are extracted from the item. So besides personal consumption as a towering food value, industrial use makes chilly to be highly demanded in the globe.
