Hiber Sugar Share Company is a producer of Sugar, Ethanol, Organic Fertilizer, Bio Diesel and Electric Power in Ethiopia. Hiber Sugar Share Company is a private owned Ethiopian business that aims to raise capital from the sale of shares to the public and set up a Sugar Factory.

Thirty investors and sugar industry professionals have started the share company. The company is established according to the provisions of the Ethiopian Commercial Code and has already obtained an investment permit to cultivate sugar cane and build a sugar factory on 25,000 hectares land.

Opportunity and Strength

• The factory will be located in Tana Beles Basin specifically Awi Zone, Jawi District (Amhara Region). The place has been uncultivated and hence its productivity is expected to be high.
• The members of the management team of the company have immense experience in the field.
• Since there is no sugar factory in the Northern part of the country, it will be a good opportunity to control the sugar market in this part of Ethiopia.
